Global packaging supplier Seacliff Beauty has partnered with Swiss upcycling company Tide Ocean SA to implement sustainable solutions and push for change in the beauty industry.

Within the scope of this partnership, Seacliff Beauty is using #tide’s premium material to create high-quality packaging made from 100% ocean-bound plastic. The final PET, PP, HDPE, and LDPE outputs are fully customizable and can be applied to a great variety of skincare, cosmetics, and hair care products.

Replacing Virgin Plastics

In the development phase, each packaging is carefully tested for performance to ensure the best quality. The results have shown that #tide ocean material is a perfect replacement for virgin plastics.

This can be explained by the fact that #tide’s mechanical upcycling formula is able to fully regenerate the components of ocean-bound plastic waste to a virgin level.

“We see ocean-bound plastic waste as a valuable resource: By giving it a value, we not only prevent it from polluting the oceans, but also close the circle and protect fossil resources. That’s why we are so happy to have created a high-quality material that can dependably be used for a variety of applications,” says Marc Krebs, #tide’s co-founder.

“We feel that environmental consciousness is essential in the ever-changing world of beauty. We are committed to using responsible packaging solutions to enhance our environmental and social impact,” says Vonda Simon, Seacliff’s CEO.
